Let me ask you a question: Are you happy with how things are going in our country? Or could things be better?
If you agree that things are not going well, then I invite you to read on. If you are happy with the current mess… in all honesty, this is probably not the place for you unless you are feeling adventurous.
The truth is that all is not going well. I don’t need to list our problems right now because from the border mess to censorship, to inflation, to the rule of law, our problems are painfully obvious. Things could definitely be going better. A lot better.
What to do? I’m too old to run for office. Too poor to finance the election of a political candidate or buy the New York Times. But I am also too stubborn and concerned to do nothing to help.
This admittedly modest newsletter is one way I can join the many people on the “right” who are trying to stop the madness and save our country. I am frustrated by our dilemma and want to help, in a small way, to make a difference. Hence this newsletter.
I plan to publish articles and commentary exploring the endlessly absurd, hypocritical, false, and twisted political and cultural insanity of our times. My goal is to help expose how the progressive left is literally destroying our country brick by brick. And, when appropriate, explore how we can resist the onslaught.
Here is what you can expect each week:
Tuesday – An article exploring an important and timely aspect of current politics, culture, or news. Sometimes divided into two parts.
Wednesday – Briefer commentaries or observations about various topics and important events. Or part two of Tuesday’s article.
Thursday – A short excerpt from my book Woke Fascism: The Real Threat to Democracy.
Friday -- Another brief commentary or observation on various topics and important events.
After this first post, the next two Mondays, I will offer the following articles:
What is a woman anyway? And does it really depend on who you ask?
Promises, Promises: The Consequences of Bad Faith
Substack is dramatically different from the mainstream media. Writers, artists, and others freely follow their intellectual and creative impulses. There are no managing editors or marketing departments to control or suppress content.
And, increasingly rare in the United States, Substack is a platform without political or other censorship. The collusion between the FBI, Twitter, and other media companies is not welcome here.
Substack operates on a subscription basis. Writers can charge a periodic fee if they wish. Many do. My newsletter is free for at least the foreseeable future. However, Substack allows subscribers the opportunity to contribute voluntarily or not at all. It’s your choice.
So, thank you for your time and interest. Please subscribe if you like this newsletter and let others know about it too. I would be happy indeed if you “like” or comment on my newsletter.
Regards,
Jon Tarr
